: Is there a vibration standard(e.g.ISOxxxx),which describle the tolerant value related to various machine or its unit under certain conditions(e.g. structure, components, installation base ,etc) ?
The ISO standards concerning vibration are issued TC 183
"Vibration and Shock". The standards can be ordered by E-mail at:
sales@isocs.iso.ch
Unfortunately, these are not free.

: and, Recently, We detected a high vibration value (18 mm/s rpm)at the first stage of spiral conic gears in our rodmill gearbox, 6 times than the other two same gearbox? BTW:The frequency is close to the motor's rotation. and, we'v checked the gears' surface, the contact face, the Jmin, all normal. Two opinons was drawn out.(The quality of the manufacture? or the bearings installtion or defects) Could you give me some advice?

We think that the increase of the vibration at the first stage of spiral conic gears in your rodmill gearbox may be appearing because of the misalignment of the motor shaft and the shaft of the gearbox or because of the fault or wear of the coupling between the motor and the gearbox.
